Location: Herning, Denmark. TEKO – Design & Business is a school for a future designer of fashion and lifestyle. Are you dreaming of a creative job full of variety? Do you wish to receive education that helps you to understand business processes from an idea to a result? The leading design and business school in the Nordic countries offers you an opportunity to study product design and international marketing of designer products in English. Combining courses from different specialties, such as fashion, purchasing, product design, sales and marketing, TEKO provides one of the best international study programmes in the field in Europe. TEKO buildings are noteworthy architectural accomplishments, designed by well-known Danish architects to make the study environment inspiring and supportive of creative work. The campus is located near the school and students can use TEKO facilities and computers from early morning till late night. The institute works in close cooperation with several Danish fashion companies. School laboratories are used for additional training of leading specialists and for designing and testing new materials. More than 1100 students are currently enrolled in our vocational or AP Degree programmes within the areas of fashion and textiles, as well as furniture and furnishings.
The first year of the study programme is used to familiarize students with the whole production cycle from planning and design to purchasing to production, logistics, marketing and sales. This enables the learners to see the overall picture before they specialize in one of the fields. International Design-Fashion programme teaches you how to turn your idea into a product and to provide it with appropriate documentation. International Purchasing Management - Fashion programme gives you an education suitable for working in the field of purchasing (raw) material, for participating in the management of the company and for overseeing the production process. International Sales management - Fashion programme concentrates on teaching the marketing and sales of design products. International Pattern Design - Fashion strengthens your creative skills and gives you a unique introduction to industrial design methods and forms of production.

You might opt to live at Birk College (Students' Village), only a few minutes' walk from TEKO or AU-IBT. Birk College consists of about 250 quality-flats of various sizes and at different prices for young people. Please see TEKO Letter of Autorization. |
