When going to study abroad, strong English language knowledge which confirms the ability to be efficient in studies, is essential. It is probably not enough if you have just basic communication skills in English. You have to be able to study in English on higher education level (follow the teachers' lectures, read study books, write school works, make presentations, follow discussions etc.). Some unconfidence in spoken English is normal and acceptable also by our partner institutions, but we suggest you to find a way to improve your English before applying for studies abroad.

To be sure in your English skills, Hakes' partner institutions asks you to take a language test. All of them accept IELTS and TOEFL, but there are also other options.
