To secure the reliability of the application system, including applicants and their given word in the system (accepting conditional or unconditional offer given by the institution) Hakes have decided to ask deposit of 280€ from all the applicants applying trough Hakes.

With following we would like to explain you what the deposit is all about and how it works. If you have any question or doubts about the deposit collection, please do not hesitate to contact us.

The Reasons To Ask a Deposit

To make sure that applicant realize about the extra costs involved with going to study abroad and reserv the minimum amount for that as deposit.
To make sure in applicants true wish and decision to go to study in the chosen institution and reserve the place in the institution.
To minimize applicant's operations with application and admission.

How It Works*

You will find PDF file about deposit announcement from Your Hakes Account on Hakes International web site (https://www.hakesinternationaol.org). It appears automatically after you accept conditional or unconditional offer of some institution. Notification about the deposit announcement will be sent also to your e-mail (on the e-mail address which you have given in Your Hakes Account).

You need to make transaction before to the account and by the deadline shown on the announcement (usually within 10 days).

All the costs your bank charges (bank where you make the transaction) to make this transaction (in some cases bank has its own service fee to make transaction) will be paid by you (the party who makes the transaction). All the costs related to receiving the money is paid by Hakes International (in some cases banks charge to receive money from foreign bank/account or in other currency; these costs are paid by the party who receives the money).

You will get the deposit back in following cases:
You have arrived to the institution where you have applied, finished the 1st semester successfully (e.g. keep on studying, pass the exams, collect 30 ECTS etc.) and corresponding institution has confirmed that for Hakes International.
You apply for repayment and your request is justified.

You will NOT get it back in following cases:
You do not accept any unconditional offer (if you have any).
You do accept some unconditional offer, but you do not arrive to chosen institution.

You do not finish the 1st semester successfully in admitted institution.
You apply for repayment and yourrequest is not justified.

In case of repayment Hakes International transfer the money back on the account which you will indicate. The amount is equal with the amount arrived to Hakes International account or in case of Hakes have paid fees or payments asked by the institution on admission on behalf of you**, the deduction is made and you get as much less.

* Information is changed on the 10th of February

** By signed application agreement you authorise Hakes International to pay all the necessary fees and payments which is asked by the institution on admission on behalf of you.

Payments & Fees of Institutions

Please see which payments will be paid by Hakes on behalf of you from the sum of deposit (if you will be admitted to the institution). Hakes pays only necessary fees/payments within amount of deposit. If the sum asked by the institution is bigger, then you need to pay missing part of payment as extra. If the sum is smaller than deposit asked by Hakes, the left amount will be returned to you and you can use it for first costs abroad.
